The Place

Residents stay in The Cyprus Flat and are welcome to work in The Studio.

Enjoy the three acres of woodland and garden around the old rectory,as well as magnificent moorland, valley and woodland walks around Warleggan.

The Cyprus Flat

The Cyprus Flat is set within an old rectory. The rectory was built between 1705 to 1707 by Daniel Baudris, a rector of Huguenot origin. The flat takes its name from a door painted by the Reverend Densham (vicar, 1931 - 1952).

The Cyprus Flat has lovely Georgian features. It has an open plan kitchen (the Residency is self-catering) and lounge overlooking the Oval Lawn, a huge bathroom with shower and bath, a hallway with a small library - which includes the work of earlier Residents, and a comfortable bedroom with a king-sized bed.

The Studio

Built by Roger in the orchard, The Studio is surrounded by gorgeous gardens and offers a quiet, inspiring space to develop work.

The Rookery

With three acres of gardens, woodland, and an abundance of flowers, there’s lots to explore around The Rookery (a former rectory).

The Parish

Nestled in amongst fields and woodlands, Warleggan is a beautiful little Cornish hamlet on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor.
