“Staying in such a peaceful and beautiful place away from everyday distractions was so helpful for my writing. I wrote one of the stories for my latest short story collection, as well as going for long walks and listening to the owl at night.” — Lucy Wood

She has been longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award, the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Frank O’Connor Award. She was also shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize, and was a runner-up in the BBC National Short Story Award.
